Logline:

When a group of unlikely friends become stranded on a road trip in the middle of nowhere, they must put their differences aside to survive the night.

summary:

Ditched is a thriller about friends Vick, Stephanie, Claire, Justin, and Molly. During a roadtrip, the group of friends have a continuous streak of bad luck. After Molly is attacked by an unknown threat and then abandoned by her friends, the rest of the group become stuck in the middle of nowhere after their car breaks down with no phone signal, and no way of knowing what danger is outside the car. They must decide between letting paranoia consume them or working together to make it until morning.

director's statement

Hi! My name is Hannah Werner. I am a film student at UNLV, and in my time at University I have won multiple film festival awards for my work including Best Directing and Best Screenplay. "Ditched" is my second narrative short film. I was inspired to write this film because I love character study pieces that are focused on people and their relationships with others more than anything else. I think the idea of a group of people being stuck in one place and made to use their limited resources to achieve their goals is a very interesting concept.I hope to be able to bring my imagination to life with your help!
